Dr. Shequenta Wray, a veterinarian decided to start a mobile service after years of caring for animal’s in a traditional general practice hospital environment. She interacted and saw owners and pets’ difficulties in arranging transportation to a practice or the stress of entering a veterinary hospital provided to some pets.
Wanting to provide access to care for senior pet caregivers, mobility limited, or those just seeking a personable veterinary care experience in the familiarity of their home, Horizon Mobile Veterinary Care was born.

Origins
Dr. Wray, a native of Hampton Roads studied at North Carolina State University for her undergraduate and professional studies.
In 2013 she graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is dedicated to client education and is committed to lifelong learning and sharing her passion and knowledge with her clients and patients by partnering with them in their care.
She is a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional, and her veterinary interests are in preventative medicine, veterinary public health and general surgery and dentistry.

Humanity
Dr. Wray has a special affinity towards chihuahuas, ( it started with her heart dog Jasper ) and they know it, but loves all dogs big and small. She still provides general practice care in a local full service veterinary hospital where surgery, dentistry and radiology are available. When not working, she enjoys traveling, gardening, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and friends.
